Rector, Kumasi Polytechnic

Professor Nicholas N. N. Nsowah-Nuamah is a full Professor of Statistics. He comes from Nkotumso, a rural community near Dunkwa on-Offin in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region. He started his basic school education at Nkotumso Roman Catholic and Nkotumso Local Authority schools where he obtained his Middle School Leaving Certificate.

 

In 1974, he completed the then St. Augustine's Training College at Bogoso in the Western Region, where he obtained his teacher training certificate. By dint of hard work, he secured both his General Certificate of Education (GCE) ordinary and advance levels through self tuition in 1974 and 1976 respectively.

 

He had Scholarship to further his education at Odessa Institute o National Economy, in the USSR where he obtained his Master of Science (M.Sc) in Statistics with distinction in 1983.
